Cherish on the Cape by MK Meredith must be on your reading list, it will change your life forever. Cherish is raw, real, and hit home on a personal level. I imagine it will for many readers too. While this is the third book in her One the Cape series it can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend investing your time in this series, get to know the characters. It’s a trip you won’t regret taking :).

MK captured Claire’s emotions with dignity and navigated the loss of a child with sensitivity and compassion. The cast of characters were supportive, strong, and full of life. Each have their own obstacles to overcome and many do it with a sense of humor, and a wee bit of moonshine ;).
Mitch Brennan would give everything he has to the people of Cape Van Buren without hesitation. If only they could see beyond the mischievous teen he was, and the playboy man they think he’s become. There are so many layers to Mitch and the one I love the most is the way he honed in on what Claire needed to help her out without any expectation he’d get something in return. Some would say he’s hiding behind the rumors, but Claire is about to show Mitch that his future doesn’t have to be lived alone. One moment will prove that he’s got a heart of gold and an inner desire to be loved.
There is something familiar in the town of Cape Van Buren – the people, the landmarks and the overwhelming sense of comfort navigating through the streets. MK has written a tender and emotionally satisfying story of a woman who must learn to open her heart after a tragic loss. It will take trust and the ability to be vulnerable, we are ready for Claire to have her happy ending.
