I love experiencing both Dex and Alicia’s perspectives as this story unfolds. Alicia is still consumed with Hunter, her unrequited love and college best friend. It’s hard to not be frustrated for Alicia as she pushes Dex away. We hope that there will be some monumental event that will push her towards Dex so we patiently wait. It doesn’t take long as Alicia can’t handle the reality that Hunter is getting married and she’s not the bride. Once again she is thrown out of orbit and lucky for us it’s a straight shot towards Dex.
Alicia feels the need to prove that she can once and for all obliterate Hunter from her mind and perhaps give in to her desire for Dex. It’s then that she makes the call. It’s the phone call that he thought would never come and once again Dex offers her one week of pleasure. One week with him and he can make her forget Mr. Unrequited. That offer is what catapults her into an electrifying week of naughtiness.
The Universe spoke and Alicia must give in and let go. Can she truly release herself from the hold that Hunter unknowingly has on her and give in to Dex once and for all? Clearly her heart and mind are conflicted. Will he have enough strength to convince her while he deals with his own demons that threaten to break them apart before they’ve even started?
