Friday Nights were never so much fun!

Friday Night Brides by Samantha Chase explores friendship, love and dreams. After all, everyone deserves a happy-ever-after! For  Angie, Becca, Ella and Hailey they have spent their Friday nights together since they were little girls.

From the moment a bride-to-be steps into the first wedding dress the memories are etched forever. Will all of her hopes, dreams and plans become a reality? If you ask Angie, Becca, Ella and Hailey those questions, their answers might surprise you.

This amazing and fresh story weaves four women and the men they love on a journey of hope, love and friendship. Who will walk down the isle? Who will discover that sometimes others expectations should never supersede your own?

It’s time to take a journey that sweeps us through the trials and tribulations of love in a quest for a happy-ever-after. Each of our four heroine’s will depend on the truth and it will come from the most unexpected source. Sometimes the truth hurts but when you have friends like these gals, it makes it easier to work through it.

In a world of fairy tales, dreams and love Samantha has once again charmed us with what I hope is the beginning of a new series. These amazing characters have so much to offer us dear readers. I’m already thinking up what she has in store for the second book!

I received this ARC from the author for a fair and honest review. I hope that you will run and pre-order your copy now. It’s a must read for all dreamers!

Excerpt:

Angie angrily stared at the pile of clothes on her closet floor. “This should not be this difficult,” she muttered as she went back to searching for something to wear. Sean was due to arrive in a little less than an hour and she wasn’t pleased with any item of clothing she owned.

Stomping from the closet in her bra and panties, she tripped over Trampus on her way to grab her phone. Scrolling quickly, she pulled up Hailey’s number.

“Hey, Ang!”

“Okay, I am officially freaking out.”

“Uh-oh…”

“Yeah. Uh-oh. I’m totally screwed here.”

“What’s going on? Is Sean still coming?”

“He is but I can’t find anything to wear! Everything is either too dressy or too casual or too squeezy…”

“Squeezy?”

“You know, too tight to go out to eat in. And I really don’t want to break out the Spanx. I’m not prepared for that kind of workout.”

“Plus it would suck later when you’re trying to undress each other,” Hailey said and then snickered.

“Seriously not helping right now! What do I do?”

“Okay,” Hailey began, sounding serious, “where are you going for dinner?”

“I don’t know.”

“Then how do you know what you’ve picked out is too dressy or too casual?”

Angie sighed with annoyance. “Okay, let’s just assume we’re going fairly casual. At least I hope we are. I’m not going to put on jeans and a t-shirt!”

“Of course you’re not,” Hailey said patiently. “You can do a step up from that and still look nice—without looking like you’re trying to impress.” She paused. “Or are you trying to impress?”

“I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. Honestly, I wish he would have just said he was bringing over a pizza or tacos. I would be totally cool with that.”

“You are going to have to come to grips with this new phase of your relationship. It’s obvious Sean is looking for more than dirty weekends and booty calls.”

“Booty call? Did you seriously just use that phrase?”

“What? It’s still a thing,” Hailey said defensively. “And I thought you wanted my help.”

“You’re right, you’re right. Sorry.”

“Okay then…the weather is great tonight so I think you should go with a pair of capris—preferably your black ones—and the turquoise halter with the little bit of beading on it that you wore last month when we went out to celebrate Becca’s birthday.”

Angie stepped back into her closet and found the outfit and examined it. “You don’t think the halter is too much?”

“Too much what?”

“Is the beading too fancy?”

“You wore it to the Cheesecake Factory. I think you’re safe.”

“I really could do with a little less sarcasm right now, Hails. I’m already on edge!”

Rae: I recently sat down to have a Cup of Coffee with the girls from Friday Night Brides. First things first – I’m having my usual Latte with Coconut Milk…What’s in your mug (or glass)?

Hailey – It’s a show night so just my water (Holds up bottle)
Becca – An iced café mocha. Compliments of Max.
Angie – (rolling her eyes). While I’d love to say vodka, I’m with Hales and having water. Trying to keep the bloat down before the show.
Ella – I’m a bit of a chocaholic – with a great metabolism – so this is an iced milk chocolate melted truffle mocha.
Angie – And we all hate you.
Ella – Hey! That’s a little harsh.
Hailey – Girls…focus!

Rae: What’s your must read book?

Becca – I am a Bridget Jones addict.
Angie – Seriously, don’t get her started.
Hailey – I will gladly read Pride and Prejudice over and over again.
Ella – I always loved Judy Blume.
(Becca, Angie and Hailey collectively groan)
Ella – What? What did I say?
Angie – The problem is that Ella met Dylan when she was twelve and never had to pick up a romance novel. So  Judy Blume was probably the last racy thing she read.
Ella – (giggling) I can’t even argue with that – because it’s true!

Rae: Thank you so much for hanging out. I’m thrilled you were all able to make it with the Friday Bridal show tonight.

Hailey – We’re all so used to the routine by now that it doesn’t take quite as much out of us to get ready. I mean, don’t get me wrong, getting ready takes an effort…
Angie – A lot of effort some nights…
Hailey – …But…it’s somewhat routine now. And it’s nice to have a bit of distraction so thank you for coming by to talk with us.

Rae: Thank you for letting us hang out at the store.

Hailey – Our pleasure. This is one of the best places to guarantee you’ll get all of us together in one place at the same time. This is like a second home. To all of us.
Becca – Very true.

Rae: Ladies, what’s it been like to grow up in a Bridal shop?

Hailey – I think that I had to deal with it a little more than the girls – mainly because it’s my mom’s business. To me, it was always a happy place to be. Everyone who came in, was just excited to be here! And once we all started modeling, I got to be part of that excitement.
Becca – It was really like every little girls dream. We’d come here and get to play dress up. Just on a much larger scale than you would at home.
Ella – It’s like getting to be a princess every week.
Angie – (Shrugging) It was cool.
Hailey – (groaning) Just once. Just one time, can’t you just show some excitement?
Angie – What? I said it was cool. That’s me being excited. You think you’d know this by now.
Hailey – Never mind.

Rae: What was your favorite girls trip destination?

All four – Anything tropical! (Lots of laughing)
Becca – It’s been a while since we’ve actually gone anywhere just the four of us, but the last trip was to Key West and it was amazing.
Angie – The beach. The drinks. And hot guys serving those drinks? Yeah. It was awesome.
Hailey – When we can’t get away we tend to hang out at my mom’s house because she has a pool…
Angie – And pray that she would get a pool boy!
Ella – We did that spa thing not that long ago and I would totally be on board for doing that again.
Becca – If it was a spa at the beach it would have been perfect.
Angie – Yes!

Rae: Ok – dish, boxers or briefs?

Becca – Boxers
Hailey – Boxers
Ella – Boxers
Angie – Wait…was commando an option?

Rae: What’s the secret to finding a dream wedding gown?

Ella – I think I’m the only one who can really answer this since I’m about to get married and found my dream gown…
Angie – Only after Mrs. J stepped in and got your mom off your back.
Ella – Well…yeah. That helped but…
Hailey – Not listening to anyone else. That’s a big part of it. You’re the one wearing it so why should other people get to tell you what that should be?’
Ella – I would hope if I liked something that looked horrible on me that someone would speak up. (Gasping) Oh! You’d tell me, right? Does my gown look horrible on me? Oh no…I mean, I love it and I thought it looked great. (Standing up) Why didn’t you tell me?
Becca, Angie and Hailey look at her in confusion.
Ella – It’s being altered already! Now what?
Angie – (Raises her hand) Um…Ella? What the hell are you talking about?
Ella – My dress! My dream dress!
Hailey – What about it? We love it. It looks amazing on you. We’ve said that since the beginning.
Ella – Becs? Is that true?”
Becca – Yeah. What are you freaking out about?
Ella – (Slowly sitting back down) Uh…nothing. Don’t mind me.
Hailey – (Grinning) As long as you feel good in it, that makes it the dream dress.
Angie – But it helps when you look good in it too.
Becca – Well of course…

Rae: What’s on your playlist while you are working or working out ;)?

Angie – Wait…working out? Are we supposed to do that?
Hailey – At work I like to keep things a little soft. Not like classical soft, but something like Adele or Ellie Goulding.
Becca – I need something with a little pep in it. Some Megan Trainor, Taylor Swift, Maroon Five…
Angie – She’s like a teenage girl.
Becca – But I like country music too. Luke Bryan is a favorite.
Angie – I love to belt out some Pink. Elle King. And lately that Cake by the Ocean song.
Ella – I am a little more eclectic. I like…
Angie – Ella sings some mean Bon Jovi!
Ella – (Hands over her face) Ugh…I’m never going to live that down, am I?
Angie – Not as long as I’m around.

Rae: Most memorable concert?

Angie – There was that American Idol thing that Ella dragged us to…
Becca – Please. Don’t remind me.
Hailey – Yeah. That was…memorable. But not for the way that I think you wanted.
Ella – (Shaking her head) It was awesome. I had a great time and loved every second of it!

Rae: What’s it like to have all those gorgeous male models around, all the time?

Hailey – Very pleasing (giggling). I have to admit, growing up around them and with them helped us – or at least, me – to feel more comfortable approaching guys. Plus, you were guaranteed to have a cute guy’s attention at least once a week.
Becca – Yeah. That was definitely a perk – especially in high school. And now? Now it’s like eye candy.
Ella – I really don’t even notice them that much. (Shrugs) I think Dylan’s far more gorgeous than all of them.
(Collective groan from the other three)
Angie – It certainly doesn’t suck
Hailey – It’s very different now than when we were younger. Back then, it was…well, it made us act silly. But now, while we can appreciate how hot they are, we’re all just friends.
Angie – Oh come on, Hales…for a while there – and not that long ago – you were still acting silly over the models.
Hailey – Only one of them…
Becca – (Clears throat) Um…one?
Hailey – Oh for the love of it…can we move on?

Rae: Chocolate or vanilla?

All four – Chocolate!

Rae: Planner or procrastinator?

Hailey – A planner. Definitely.
Becca – Oh yeah. No one plans quite like Hailey.
Hailey – And what about you, Becs? I seem to recall more than one day planner in your bag.
Becca – (Shrugging) I like to plan but then I procrastinate about actually doing what I’ve written down in the planner.
Angie – Procrastinator. Definitely.
Ella – I think I’d call myself a casual planner. I know what I have to do and I get it done. I’m not rigid about anything and I kind of hate procrastinating.
Angie – she’s the good one.
Hailey – Hey! I’m good too!
Angie – No. You’re uptight. There’s a difference.
Hailey – (Sighs loudly) It’s not uptight. Things just need to run on a schedule and…
Becca – This would be a good time to point out that we need to get moving if we’re going to be ready at showtime!
Hailey – Oh my gosh! Is it that late already? I thought we had more time?
Angie – (Laughing as she stands) And that, my friends, is what happens when you don’t pay close attention to your schedule!

Final Day of Samantha Chase Blitz – Love Walks In Review & Giveaway

Love Walks In (The Shaughnessy Brothers Book 2) by Samantha Chase is a brilliant, charming and magical love story that shows us what happens when structure collides with the unexpected? It’s difficult to find love when you’re so scheduled that it needs to fall into your lap to discover it.

Hugh Shaughnessy has always had a plan and been in total control, it’s the only way he can guard his heart. Never in his wildest dreams could he imagine what unfolds at work. When Hugh meets Aubrey, its memorable and laugh out loud hysterical! This might just be what Hugh needs to shake him up, if that’s even possible.

For a man who has money and an amazing career, yes I am jealous ;), he’s still not fulfilled. There is something magical about Aubrey. Will she be the one to loosen him up?  It’s going to take letting himself go out of his comfort zone, off the scheduled and predictable path, to discover what he needs.

Aubrey Burke is hiding from a huge mistake and unintentionally falls into a temporary life of parties, wine, and a lot of great food. Will she find a happy-ever-after or will she push Hugh away? Will Hugh be the one to stop her from running?

Both have reasons for hesitation when love is involved.  Will they be able to trust each other? When they wind up working together they will discover that not everything can be planed out. That theory that opposites attract is put to the test and it will be amazing. It will take a village of family and friends to get these two together.

I love the setting of this novel, it’s the perfect escape from the hectic work week. Sit back with a glass of wine, a decadent cheese plate and a few chocolate truffles and discover how yummy love can be.

Another must read sexy story that has amazing characters – each one has a purpose and there are a few that have become my new favorites! The Shaughnessy Bachelors are interesting, compelling and can handle the unexpected. Oh, did I mention super sexy too? This time the destination is a resort and a vineyard. Two places I would love to be right now!

Samantha, it sounds like we have much to look forward to for the Shaughnessy family. I can’t wait to see whose story is next and where we go!

I received this book from the publisher for a fair and honest review.

Excerpt:

Aubrey woke up the next morning and instantly groaned when she realized last night wasn’t a dream. She had cried all over Hugh until she had practically collapsed. Then he had carried her to her bed and gently put her down, kissing her forehead. And just when she thought he had taken his chance to escape, he was back with a glass of water for her. He made sure she was comfortable, kissed her gently again, and then he was gone.

Ugh. The poor man must be wishing he had just let her rob his office and not interfered. She was a mess. A stinking hot mess. How in the world was she supposed to face him this morning, knowing he must think the same thing of her? Aubrey eyed the balcony, but it was too high to escape that way.

“No more running,” she murmured as she climbed from the bed, still wearing last night’s clothes. It wasn’t particularly early—eight a.m.—but she wasn’t sure if Hugh was an early riser or not. Hopefully he was already down at the office. She’d shower and get herself feeling human again before seeking him out.

Thirty minutes later, dressed in one of her new outfits—black capris and a sky blue sleeveless blouse—Aubrey stepped out into the living room. And froze.

Hugh was sitting at the breakfast bar drinking a cup of coffee and reading the paper. “Good morning,” he said. “I wasn’t sure if you were big on breakfast, so I had them send up an assortment of food—fruit, cereal, muffins, that sort of thing. If you’d like something hot like eggs or pancakes, we can have them sent up, too.”

He wasn’t asking her to leave.

He was offering her breakfast like everything was completely normal.

Nervously tucking her hair behind her ear, she straightened in her spot. “Listen… Hugh, about last night…”

He waved her off. “Today is a new day,” he said with a sincere smile. “Okay?”

There were so many things Aubrey wanted to say, but she took the lifeline he extended, returning his smile. “Okay.” She walked over to where the breakfast tray was. Her practical side told her to have some of the fresh fruit, but the other side urged her to have one of the giant muffins.

“There’s banana nut, blueberry, and chocolate chip,” Hugh said as he watched her.

“As much as I would love the chocolate chip one, I don’t think it’s quite right for breakfast,” Aubrey said, sighing as she picked up the plate of fruit. Before she knew it, Hugh was beside her, taking the plate from her hands. “What are you doing?”

He leaned in and spoke to her in an exaggerated whisper. “You’re technically on vacation. It’s okay to have chocolate for breakfast. Besides, I won’t tell.”

She looked at him and couldn’t help but giggle. “It just feels so wrong.”

Now it was Hugh’s turn to chuckle. “It’s okay. Live a little.” Without a word, Hugh put the muffin on a plate, handed it to Aubrey, and took her by the shoulders, directing her to the breakfast bar. “Sit. Eat.”

And she did. It was quite possibly the best muffin—or breakfast—she’d ever eaten. It felt completely decadent, and it wasn’t until she was halfway through it that she realized Hugh was staring at her. Swallowing the last bite, she looked at him. “What?”

His face was resting in his hand and he was smiling—he seemed to do that a lot. At least, he always seemed to be smiling at her.

“It’s good to see you enjoying a meal.”

Aubrey looked at him quizzically. “What are you talking about? I always enjoy my meals.”

Hugh shook his head. “I know I can’t speak for how you normally eat, but since you’ve been here, you’ve been very reserved while you ate. This muffin? It was a completely different experience.”

She wanted to be a little bit offended by his observation, but couldn’t. “If you can believe it, that’s the first time I’ve ever eaten baked goods for breakfast. It was never allowed.”

Hugh’s shocked expression was almost comical. “How is that possible? What about bagels?”

Aubrey shook her head.

“Donuts?”

“Definitely not.”

“Toast?”

She laughed. “That’s not a baked good.”

“Technically, it is. Bread is baked, therefore toast is a baked good.”

Aubrey rolled her eyes. “Okay, then to be clear, I’ve never eaten the kind of baked goods one would find in an actual bakery for breakfast.”

“That borders on child abuse.”

I received this book from the publisher for a fair and honest review.

This review was originally published August 4, 2015 and has been edited now that the book is published.

***

Excerpt:Aidan had been watching this woman since her arrival. It hadn’t been intentional, but he had been in one of the upstairs bedrooms when he saw her car pull up, and had watched in fascination as she inspected the yard. While he felt mildly guilty for causing the other decorator to lose her job, he couldn’t help but be intrigued by her replacement. From what he’d observed so far, this woman was somebody who took notice of details. It wasn’t hard to see the appreciation in her eyes as she looked at the house.

And he couldn’t help but look at her with appreciation. The woman before him had fiery red curly hair and a body with the kind of curves that made a man want to…scratch an itch. Damn it. This was so not the time for that thought to come to mind. As she straightened before him, he had to admit she was even more stunning up close. Tall. In heels, she was maybe only four inches shorter than he and that was saying something. Most women didn’t come close to his six-foot-two-inch height.

Aidan’s mouth went dry when she took off her sunglasses and he caught sight of the greenest eyes he had ever seen. She smiled and held out her hand in greeting. “Mr. Shaughnessy, hello,” she said, her voice was just a bit husky. “I’m Zoe Dalton.”

For a moment, Aidan couldn’t speak. He reached out and took her hand in his, fully intending to give her a business-like handshake, but as soon as he felt her soft skin, he pretty much forgot his own name.

You really have been without a woman for too long, he admonished himself. “Miss Dalton,” he murmured, forcing himself to focus. He shook her hand a little too roughly and released it as if she’d burned him.

Zoe was equally speechless. Why did no one mention that this man was the sexiest thing on two legs? His rock star brother may have been nominated one of the sexiest men alive, but Riley had nothing on his older brother. Dark hair, blue eyes, and hands rough enough that Zoe wanted to feel them all over her. It was rare for a man to make Zoe feel small and delicate, but Aidan was built like a linebacker and managed to make her feel it now.

Zoe fanned herself briefly as Aidan turned and walked away.

And the view was just as spectacular from behind.

She almost groaned.

Her gaze was lingering on how fine he looked in those faded jeans when he cleared his throat. “I want you to look around this house, Miss Dalton, and tell me everything you see that’s wrong.”

She swallowed hard and stepped forward. “Everything?”

Aidan turned to face her, crossing his large arms across his chest. “I want you to start at the front door and walk through the entire house.”

There was the potential here for things to go south very quickly. Beyond what she’d read in Sarah’s files, Zoe wasn’t familiar with his work, so she didn’t want to risk offending him, but Martha did tell her to do whatever Mr. Shaughnessy wanted done without argument. With a brief nod of her head, Zoe placed her soft leather briefcase on the granite countertop, pulled out her tablet and began to type furiously, creating her own document on the house.

Walking to the front door, she stepped out onto the porch and swung the door closed before opening it again. “The door sticks a little,” she began as she walked back inside. “There’s some paint on the hardware on both the interior and exterior sides.” She closed the door and looked around the entryway. Stepping to the right, she opened a closet door and looked inside. “There should be electrical in here. It’s a deep closet so I’m pretty sure people would appreciate having a light inside.” She closed that door and noticed that Aidan hadn’t moved from his spot in the living area.

Pretending not to be bothered by him watching her like that, she stopped and made some notes on her tablet. There was a fabulous cubby unit across from the closet. It had coat hooks and plenty of compartments to house baskets and all kinds of decorative items. She ran her hand over the built-in bench and frowned. “This needs to be sanded down more and another coat of paint added.” Turning to face him, she said, “Chances are, a homeowner would cover this area with a cushion, but that doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be smooth.”

If she wasn’t mistaken, he actually smirked.

Next to the entryway closet, she found a half bathroom and turned on the light inside. Unimpressive. “The paint is sloppy in there. It’s not plumb, either. The dark paint on the walls against the white ceiling accentuates that. There’s a wave going on in there that almost makes me seasick.”

Zoe crossed the entryway and opened the door to the two-car garage. She peeked her head in to look around quickly and shut the door before turning back to Aidan. “There’s a crack in the concrete floor by the electrical box. Sometimes concrete does that but if you’re going to patch it, make sure that it doesn’t look like a patch.”

The smirk broadened slightly.

Zoe typed a couple more notes and walked into the living area until she was standing about three feet away from Aidan. She met his eyes briefly before turning around and facing the entryway from this angle. With a tilt of her head she stopped and frowned. “It’s out of plumb on the garage side of the entryway. If you stand here you can see the curve in the wall.” She didn’t wait to see if he’d look; she had a feeling he was already well aware of all of the problems.

Doing a slow three-sixty turn, she stopped and typed, then faced the living area. “The color is wrong in here.” Lifting her head, she looked directly at him. “Granted, I don’t know what color you were going for but this is too yellow. You can see those beautiful, dark chocolate-colored cabinets in the kitchen from here. Between those and the dark floors, the walls are all wrong.”

“Tell me why,” he said deeply.

“You’ve got some amazing colors going between the floors, the cabinets and the stone in the fireplace. This color on the walls doesn’t do any of it justice. It’s a yellowish beige, and it’s boring. You want something that is going to complement everything that you’ve done. You want a color that people are going to walk in here and go ‘wow’.” Looking around again, Zoe shrugged. “This doesn’t inspire. This is the weekend-warrior-handyman special.”

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Zoe regretted them. Maybe he liked that yellow. Maybe he’d chosen it and it was the one color Sarah hadn’t substituted. Why couldn’t she just keep it professional? She’d never had trouble focusing with any of her other clients.

She turned and looked at him and noticed that the smirk was gone. He looked pissed. Okay, there were two ways she could play this. She could immediately apologize and grovel a bit or she could move on and hope she was just blowing it out of proportion.

“I think we can do something better with the furniture.” And option two it is! “The sectional is fine but we can jazz it up once we change the colors in here.” Moving to the kitchen she went on for about five minutes about the things she saw that weren’t quite right—brush strokes in the paint, crooked glass tile in the backsplash—and decided to stop there. His silence was killing her. She typed a few last notes on her tablet before putting it down and leaning against the countertop.

“Do I pass?” she asked.

“Excuse me?”

“I take it that this is a test to determine if I can see that the problem is in the details. Let me assure you, Mr. Shaughnessy, that I do. I have a real problem with craftsmen who rush through a job and put out shoddy work. I think the homeowner deserves a house that has been put together perfectly. And as for the finishes and decorating,” she said as she stood a bit taller, “we want potential buyers to come in here and not only want to buy this house, but to want their own to look as perfect as the model. If not better.” She paused and shrugged. “Not that it will be possible because the model will be perfect on steroids.” There, Zoe thought, he can’t be pissed at me if he knows that I’m a perfectionist too.

He quirked a dark brow at her. As much as Aidan hated to admit it, he was impressed. And he wasn’t impressed easily. Zoe Dalton had not only seen everything that he wanted her to see, but she had even picked up on an issue or two that had escaped him.

Not an easy thing to do.

Aidan continued to stand there and look at her, so Zoe figured she’d better nudge him along. “Are we ready to hit the upstairs? I have a list of problems with that staircase.”

And in that moment Aidan Shaughnessy thought that he just may have met his match.

Be sure to visit tomorrow for the last day of our blitz. I’ll leave you with the following picture to get you in the mood. I can’t wait for you all to meet Hugh and Aubrey.

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan’s Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40’s to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she’s not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

I recently sat down to have a Cup of Coffee with the Shaughnessy siblings. This is one chat I’ve been looking forward to!

First things first – I’m having my usual Latte with Coconut Milk

What’s in your mug?

Aidan – Black coffee, 2 sugars

Hugh
– Caramel Macchiatto (and Quinn will make fun of him for it)

Quinn
– Dark Roast coffee, cream and sugar

Riley
– Cappucino

Owen
– Chai Latte

Darcy
– Dark Chocolate Truffle Mocha

Thank you so much for hanging out. I’m thrilled you were all able to make it. Let’s get this started.

What is on your playlist while you are working?

Aidan – You know, I don’t even pay attention to the music I listen to. I normally put on a classic rock station and it all becomes background noise to me.

Riley – Hey! I take offense to that! You’re supposed to say that you listen to my latest CD – or all of my music all the time!

Quinn – Ugh…seriously?

Aidan – (chuckling and shaking his head) Um…sure. Okay.

Darcy – I can’t even listen to your music at school anymore, Riley. People in the dorm go crazy and start asking if I’ll introduce them to you.

Hugh – Is that why you won’t listen to him at work, Aidan? Afraid your construction crew will become hysterical and want to meet Riley?

Aidan – (still laughing) Exactly!

Riley – You guys are idiots.

What is your favorite flavor of ice-cream?

Aidan – I enjoy a good chocolate ice cream. A classic.

Quinn – (quietly snorting with laughter) Figures.

Aidan – What’s that supposed to mean?

Riley – I would have thought he’d say vanilla

Owen – there’s nothing wrong with chocolate. As a matter of fact, chocolate ice cream is created…

Quinn – No! No science talk!

 Aidan – So um…yeah. Chocolate.

What is it like to have so many meddling relatives interested in your love life?

Aidan – It is…

Darcy – You don’t have any idea what meddling is! Do you know how hard it is to get a boyfriend when you have FIVE older brothers constantly getting in your face? Let me tell you, it’s…

Quinn – Enough, Darce. Seriously. If these potential boyfriends can’t take the heat of a couple of innocent questions from your brothers…

Darcy – You threatened to break Tommy Kane’s knees. How is that innocent in any way?

Hugh – We’re just looking out for you and making sure you’re with a guy worthy of you.

Owen – Weren’t we talking about Aidan?

Aidan – Thanks, bro. I was kind of enjoying the attention shifting for a little while.

Riley – Oh, come on, Aidan. We weren’t so bad when you and Zoe got together. Admit it.

Aidan – You mean other than both you and Hugh asking her to dance? Flirting with her?

Riley – (laughing) Oh yeah…

Hugh – She’s a great dancer too…

Aidan – That’s enough. (Shakes head) In answer to your original question – it’s annoying as hell!

What is your favorite movie to watch? Can you agree on a movie?

Aidan – Die Hard

Hugh – Die Hard

Riley – Die Hard

Quinn – Die Hard

Owen – Do I have to say Die Hard, too?

Darcy – Yes you do! (sighs dramatically). As you can tell, we can sort of agree. But yeah, Die Hard.

Dream vacation destination?

Aidan – Um…

Hugh – You can’t ask Aidan that. He doesn’t know how to take a vacation. Hell, he rarely even leaves town.

Aidan – that’s why it’s called a DREAM vacation, jackass. Let’s see…

Riley – I bet he says something obvious like Hawaii.

Darcy – That’s my dream…

Owen – Hawaii is great for star gazing. I was once there for a conference and we were watching the skies for…

Quinn – You’re doing it again!

Owen – Sorry.

Aidan – Let’s say my dream vacation would be anywhere these guys aren’t!

Chocolate or Vanilla?

Aidan – Chocolate.

Hugh – Chocolate. But with some whipped cream.

Quinn – And some hot fudge! And a cherry on top.

Riley – Are we seriously competing with who has the bigger bowl of ice cream? (Laughs) Then I want to add some crushed up Oreos and some melted marshmallow.

Owen – I kind of like vanilla…

Darcy – Of course you do. Chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips in it. Yum!

Who’s neater?

Aidan, Hugh, Quinn, Riley and Darcy – OWEN!

Owen – (Shrugging) Me.

Working at a luxury resort must have it’s perks, when did you know that was the life for you?

Hugh – Aahhh…finally. Some questions for me! (Winks) One of my first jobs was working at a coastal resort doing odd jobs. I found that I enjoyed learning all the aspects of it and then I would troubleshoot and see what I would do differently. I liked the idea of having something small and private. Intimate. A couples getaway that didn’t require going to the islands. Once the idea formed, things just fell in to place. My father helped me finance my first resort and it was such a success that the others were done in fairly quick succession.

Aidan – Ask him about his personal rooms and apartments at each of the resorts. (Snickers)

Hugh – Shut up. So I like things…a certain way.

Quinn – A certain way? Or exactly the same in all twelve resorts.

Hugh – (Shrugging) All of my spaces at the resorts are identical. (Glares at siblings) There? Satisfied.

Are you used to getting your way all  the time?

Hugh, Aidan, Quinn and Riley – YES!

Darcy – I never get my way…

(Collective groan from all brothers)

Owen – It doesn’t really matter to me.

Quinn – Who even says that? Of course it matters!

Owen – If you guys get your way all the time, then that has to mean that someone doesn’t. That’s usually me.

Riley – Dude…

Aidan – Clearly that’s a therapy session for another time.

I had a blast guys. Thanks so much for hanging out with me!
