1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? To be honest, we don’t really have a Thanksgiving tradition. When I was little, it was just the four of us, me, my parents and my brother, as all our family was overseas. We would usually try to find a place my brother could get some turkey since he was the only one who liked it! My husband was in the Army when first married, so we were always in a different place, usually not near our family. So sometimes, it was just the two of us, sometimes we were with friends. And then over the years, we just get together with our families at whoever’s place is most convenient.
2. How do you decorate your table and home? Again, this is variable. I did do the whole big turkey dinner a couple years ago, with family and friends at my house, so I pulled out all our nice china and flatware, and did a fall/harvest décor for the table.
3. My favorite hostess gift is… I usually give wine or some of my homemade truffles. But one of my favorite hostess gifts I received was these wine charms that were little cabana boys hanging on the edge of your glass. All they had on were tight little bathing suits which molded to their backs AND fronts and had all of us girls literally checking out their packages. *snort, eyeroll*
4. It’s time to pack up the leftovers, what do you do with all the food? Share it, use it for other yummy dishes or toss it? I definitely try to use it by making turkey salad the next day, or I share it with my friends. I REALLY try not to toss food.
5. Black Friday shopping – on line fun, up early with a cup of java and a long list, or last minute shopper and don’t care about the sales? I am totally a last minute shopper! I try to get out sooner, and sometimes I’ll get a few things ahead of time, but I will most likely be at the mall on December 22,23 or even 24!
6. I am thankful for… Sooo many things! My family, my friends, my computer, time to write, my book being published, even my day job. I think mostly I’m grateful that I get each day. The day may not be great, I might be sad, or have an argument with someone I care about, or not be able to write that day, but I had the day – I lived it and hopefully I get tomorrow, too.
Bio: Mona has always been obsessed with everything romantic, so it’s fitting that she writes romantic stories by night, even though she’s an optometrist by day. If she’s not writing, she’s making melt-in-your-mouth chocolate truffles or riding her bike or doing her favorite thing, reading. Alone time is precious, but Mona is just as likely to be raising a glass of wine or her favorite gin and tonic with friends and family. She’s blessed with an amazing daughter and a loving son who have both gone off to college. Mona lives in Maryland with her romance loving husband.

1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? My family doesn’t have any strong Thanksgiving traditions because we rotate the holiday among different family members every year. But there is one thing that stands out–sweet potato casserole. Thanksgiving is the only time we have this dish. The recipe was passed down from my uncle’s mother, who was a true Southern Belle.
2. How do you decorate your table and home? I’m not really big on decorating for holidays other than Christmas. I simply don’t have the time! When I host Thanksgiving, I usually have a full house, around twenty people, so we serve the meal buffet style with the finest Chinet plates. No table decorations needed. 🙂
3. It’s time to pack up the leftovers, what do you do with all the food? Share it, use it for other yummy dishes or toss it? Leftovers are the best part of Thanksgiving! When I host it, that means I don’t have to cook for the next week! I usually make turkey potpie out of the turkey leftovers, but everything else we simply reheat and eat.
4. Black Friday shopping – on line fun, up early with a cup of java and a long list, or last minute shopper and don’t care about the sales? Definitely online fun. Black Friday has become kind of a misnomer–sales start earlier and earlier every year. Most online sales start the Monday before Thanksgiving, and if you don’t get your order in then, the items go out of stock. So I usually spend all of Thanksgiving week doing online Christmas shopping so that I only have to pick up a few odds and ends in December.
6. I am thankful for…My family, my dogs, my husband’s support of me as a writer, and my bestie Marnee Blake. I am truly blessed.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Family. And Happy Thanksgiving to everyone reading this and your families too.

1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? As often as possible, we watch the Macy’s parade. I just love seeing all the floats and the performers, and my girls love it, too. It’s like our pregame for the day!
2. How do you decorate your table and home? The table is pretty simple, because we are usually a big crew and start out buffet style, then cram whatever plates we can onto the table for passing around. My house has a mix of decorations from my childhood and newer things that I’ve seen and loved. We do have cozy blankets on every couch and chair for after-meal snoozing, though!
3. My favorite hostess gift is… Something we can all share during the meal/visit, whether that be a pumpkin pie or a really warm smile and hug.
4. It’s time to pack up the leftovers, what do you do with all the food? Share it, use it for other yummy dishes or toss it? Oh, we share! We eat really clean for most of the year, so it’s hard for me to have too many leftovers of a decadent meal without falling out of my routine. But every year that we host, Mr. K makes the turkeys in our smoker, and every year, I make the most delicious turkey stock and turkey noodle soup with the leftovers from the birds. So, so, so good!
5. Black Friday shopping – on line fun, up early with a cup of java and a long list, or last minute shopper and don’t care about the sales? I shop in person early, then online after a nap at home. Some of the best fun I’ve had my my sisters in law and mother in law and niece have been Black Friday shopping. We just bundle up and grab coffee (tea for me!) and go, go, go. It’s a blast!
6. I am thankful for… good food, great friends, and big love. I’m blessed to have all of them.
Bio: Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet and hot and edgy romantic suspense. When she’s not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as “The Pleather Bomber”, she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a USA Today best-selling author and a 2016 and 2015 RWA RITA® finalist and 2014 Bookseller’s Best nominee who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. Kimberly resides in Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters.

1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition: There’s so many!! It’s hard to pick a “favorite” tradition when there are so many things that we do year after year that are part of the delightful whole. When I close my eyes and think of them all, I see snippets of what gives me the greatest joy. I’ll share a few- Having my husband’s warm fingers wrap around my hand when the family gathers around the table for grace and to share what we are grateful for. Seeing the shinning eyes of my grandchildren and their uninhibited smiles on their beautiful faces when I sneak them a taste of desert before dinner is served. The relaxed and happy expressions on the faces of all the generations as the one-on-one or small group conversations ate fully underway in the living room and kitchen. Yes, the gumbo and pecan pies are served every year… but the tiny moments is what makes Holidays memorable.
2. How do you decorate your table and home? I keep things simple. I fill my home with fresh flowers and arrangements with pumpkins. I also have Glass and ceramic pumpkins placed around.
3. My favorite hostess gift is… Edibles. Something homemade and placed in a pretty dish to leave behind.
4. It’s time to pack up the leftovers, what do you do with all the food? Share it, use it for other yummy dishes or toss it?
OH NO! We never toss it. We share it with everyone there ore make plates to deliver to family and friends who were unable to join us or may be home ill. My mother-in-law likes to make Turkey Gumbo with the leftovers too. Yum!
5. Black Friday shopping – on line fun, up early with a cup of java and a long list, or last minute shopper and don’t care about the sales? I care about the sales, but I’ve been in the chaos on Black Friday and am not a fan. I over buy, race around for things I got excited about in the frenzy of the moment. Then I have a heated basketball goal or perfume that smells like beer or some such craziness with no one to gift it to. Lol. I admire those who really make it a family or friend event!
6. I am thankful for…Love. Life. Family. Friends. Readers.
I’m so grateful for each of these things and people that make up the whole of my incredibly blessed life.
And, I’m thankful that I can include you, Rae, as my friend. Thank you for inviting me into your “Books I Love a Latte” world. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Family. And Happy Thanksgiving to everyone Reading this and your families too.

Samantha Chase:
1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? We don’t have any exciting traditions for Thanksgiving. Our big thing is the meal – which is always the same. Boring, right? Once we moved to NC and didn’t have any family around, we started making the Thanksgiving meal that was filled with the things we wanted and I’ve been making it that way for 20 years!
2. How do you decorate your table and your home? Very basic. We’re normally a small group so I have a nice fall colored tablecloth and use my grandparents good china.
3. My favorite hostess gift is… Chocolate!
4. It’s time to pack up the leftovers, what do you do with all the food? Share it, use it for other yummy dishes or toss it? When our older son comes for the holiday, I always send him home with enough for a meal or two for himself. Then there’s always more for us to have at least another dinner or two. We love having it the next day for lunch!
5. Black Friday shopping – on line fun, up early with a cup of java and a long list, or last minute shopper and don’t care about the sales? I used to be up early on Black Friday when the kids were little. Once they got older, online shopping was way easier. I’m almost done shopping already and it’s the first week of November!
6. I am thankful for… my family

Bio: Samantha Chase is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller of contemporary romance that’s hotter than sweet, sweeter than hot. She released her debut novel in 2011 and currently has more than sixty titles under her belt – including THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE which was a Hallmark Christmas movie in 2017! When she’s not working on a new story, she spends her time reading romances, playing way too many games of Solitaire on Facebook, wearing a tiara while playing with her sassy pug Maylene…oh, and spending time with her husband of 28 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? Every Thanksgiving we go to Carmel, CA. My husband’s family has been meeting there for a week at Thanksgiving his entire life (and most of his mom’s) and now my whole family comes too. It’s my favorite place in the world and my favorite holiday since both of our families — and most of the extended parts of each! — comes for some part of the week.
2. How do you decorate your table and your home? I don’t really decorate for Thanksgiving since we always travel, but I have a fall table runner and a bunch of mini pumpkins I like to put out on the dining room table with some candle holders. I try to keep my dining room table decorated, but my husband and two sons see the dining room as project space, so more often than not, my decor gets shifted to a pile in favor of tools, monitors, wires and various other pieces of generalized dude crap.
3. My favorite hostess gift is… WINE or chocolate.
4. It’s time to pack up the leftovers, what do you do with all the food? Share it, use it for other yummy dishes or toss it? I love it when everyone gets sent home with a little box of their favorite stuff. I love a turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry on the day after!
5. Black Friday shopping – on line fun, up early with a cup of java and a long list, or last minute shopper and don’t care about the sales? Online only and not specifically on Black Friday. I don’t even know how to shop in real stores anymore.
6. I am thankful for healthy children and a family that loves to see us enough to invite us every year!
BIO: I’m Delancey Stewart – contemporary romance author! My books run the gamut of settings and setups, but they always deliver humor, heart and heat. It’s a guarantee.
I write from my home outside Washington DC, where I manage a household full of boys and men. Okay, only one man. The hubs. But two boys. I mean, three if you count the hubs. (You see why I do words and not numbers. I was told there’d be no math in this bio. Someone lied.)
I grew up in California and have had more jobs than anyone on earth (personal trainer, pharmaceutical rep, copywriter, tech writer, marketing director, wine seller, elementary school teacher… I’m not kidding. The list. It goes on.) But the one I love the most is writing, in part because I get to meet people who love books and stories as much as I do! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to say hello, and don’t forget to join my newsletter!
