Author Info:

Bestselling author Barbara Devlin was born a storyteller. A Texan, through and through, Barbara hasn’t been without a book in her possession since she was in kindergarten. She wrote her first short story, a really cheesy murder-mystery, in high school, but it was a Christmas gift, a lovely little diary with a bronze lock, given to her in the fifth grade that truly inspired her love of writing.
After completing part of her undergraduate studies at the University of London, where she developed a love of all things British, Barbara returned home and began a career in banking. But the late 80s weren’t too promising for the financial industry, and every bank that hired Barbara soon folded. So she searched for a stable occupation, and the local police department offered the answer to her prayers.
Initially, Barbara wasn’t too sure about her new career in law enforcement, but she soon came to love being a police officer. And then one uncharacteristically cold and icy day in December 1998, Barbara was struck by a car and pinned against a guardrail while working an accident on a major highway. Permanently disabled, she retired from the police department and devoted her time and energy to physical therapy.
Once Barbara got back on her feet, she focused on a new career in academia. She earned an MA in English and continued a course of study for a Doctorate in Literature and Rhetoric. She happily considered herself an exceedingly eccentric English professor, until success in Indie publishing lured her into writing, full-time, featuring her fictional knighthood, the Brethren of the Coast.

Author Info:
Although Jeanne Adams likes calling North Carolina home, she lives in DC, where The Tentacle Affaire is set, and often jogs on the C&O towpath with her dogs. Her favorite holiday is Halloween. She starts planning the annual yard decor on November 1. Alas, in this case however, the “Adams Family” – one husband, two sons and three dogs – is all bark and no bite.
On another spooky note, Jeanne used to work in the funeral and cemetery business, and knows a thing or two about getting rid of the body….bwhahahah! (She even teaches classes about it to other writers!)
Jeanne has written suspense novels for Kensington/Zebra Publishing since 2007. THE TENTACLE AFFAIRE, her first urban fantasy/romance, was released in Nov, 2014, along with two new Romantic Suspense Novellas, DEADLY DELIVERY and BEHIND ENEMY LINES. A short story, featured in TINY TREATS #2, St. Patrick’s Day, heralds a new series which will start next year.

Close to the Fire (Westen Book 3)
Close to the Mistletoe
Turners Vision

Author Info:
Suzanne Ferrell discovered romance novels in her aunt’s hidden stash one summer as a teenager. From that moment on she knew two things: she loved romance stories and someday she’d be writing her own. Her love for romances has only grown over the years. It took her a number of years and a secondary career as a nurse to finally start writing her own stories.
Currently there are two main series she’s actively writing in: The Westen Series, a contemporary small town series based in a fictional Ohio town where “things aren’t always what they seem”, and features Close To Home, Close To The Edge and Close To The Fire. The second series is the Romantic Suspense books KIDNAPPED, HUNTED, SEIZED and VANISHED, featuring the Edgars family as they fight for justice, even if it means stepping slightly outside the rulebook.
KIDNAPPED and HUNTED were both Golden Heart finalist, and SEIZED, book #3 in the Edgars Family Novels, was a finalist in the novella category of the OKRWA’s National Reader’s Choice Awards contest.
Suzanne’s sexy stories, whether they be her on the edge of your seat romantic suspense or the small town romantic suspense stories they’ll keep you thinking about her characters long after their Happy Ever After is achieved.

Sep 23, 2015 | 2015, Blog, Jeanette Murray, September 2015
Loving Him Off the Field (Santa Fe Bobcats Book 2) by Jeanette Murray blends football, sexy players and hot chemistry perfectly. Killian Reeves is a kicker for the Santa Fe Bobcats who stays away from reporters. Aileen Rogers is a struggling reporter who’s good for nothing boss dares her to do whatever it takes to get that big story. If she does, he’ll pass along her “tape” to his connections at all the major networks. Word on the street is the Santa Fe Bobcats is where she might be able to get her big break, if she’s willing to sell her soul.
Determined to make something of herself beyond the Hollywood gossip circuit she convinces Killian to 30 days of interviewing. If he’ll give her access to a month with a camera rolling and some decent questions, she’ll leave him alone. Intrigued by her request Killian sweetens the deal by adding his own demands and the clock starts counting down. Aileen hates her job and is convinced this interview with the illusive kicker Killian will put her on the map!
Unfortunately, when her boss asks her to do whatever it takes to get the dirt that she needs, she has a difficult decision to make. When the subject is the sexy football player she’s attracted to, will she use him to further her career or do the right thing? Falling for him wasn’t in the plans and at the moment may compromise her agenda. Only when his secrets start to emerge, Killian wonders if it will hurt his career. If the press, more specifically Aileen, finds out how long he’s been holding out his career may be over. Everything he’s worked so hard to protect might be destroyed. Will he let Aileen in or push her away?
I received an ARC by the publisher for a fair and honest review. Definitely worth your time and sexy football players during Football season is a double bonus!
Author Info:

Jeanette spends her days surrounded by hunky alpha men…at least in her imagination. In real life, she’s a wife and a mother, keeping tabs on her husband of seven years, her four year old daughter (often called Tot) and the family dog, a lovable (but completely stupid) Goldendoodle named Clyde. Hang around long enough and you’`re guaranteed to hear at least one or two stories about these three. She and her family currently live just outside of St. Louis.
What’s with the two names? Great question. Jeanette writes for a few different publishers. And due to the timing of some releases, two names just seemed like the right option. But Jeanette can assure you, no matter which pen name you’re reading, you’re going to get sexy contemporary love.
Jan 10, 2015 | 2015, Blog, Colleen Oakley, January 2015, Women's Fiction

In her debut novel, Before I Go, Colleen Oakley, masterfully introduces us into a world where wishes don’t necessarily come true, or do they? Daisy, who is goal oriented and list focused, receives devastating news. She is no longer in remission. It’s back, her breast cancer, and this time it’s attacked with a vengeance. This young and health conscious newlywed has decided to be brave and tackle this without relying on her family and friends. Facing limited treatment options of which none will cure and annihilate this awful disease she must deal with a devastating truth. For the first time in her life, Daisy finds herself completely lost. One minute she’s looking forward to celebrating her future with her husband with talk of starting a family. The next minute she’s listening to the Doctor rattle off the limited options to live comfortably, she must decide how she is going to tell her family.
While browsing through the published description of this book it states an obvious fact, Daisy is going to die. No, I’m not giving you dear reader any spoilers so don’t get mad at me. With this new discovery will she do what she’s always done? Will there be copious amounts of lists? Will she have the energy to fight? Jack, her kind and sometimes disorganized husband is just months away from graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, will this change that? Knowing how oblivious and unable to see beyond the physical mess tugs at her soul. How can she be sure he’ll be ok?
The author, Colleen Oakley shows us that facing death can be ugly, unfair and frightening, no matter how old you are. What Daisy and Jack do with the amount of time they have left with each other is what makes this a must read book. While reading the book description to some acquaintances they immediately responded that they couldn’t read yet another “Cancer” story.
I normally would agree and not pick up yet another survive/victim story, I urge you to take this frustrating and humorous journey with Daisy and Jack, and take a ride on this emotional roller coaster with them. Be a passenger. It is worth it and will change how you look at those facing adversity, and make you think about how we all deal with situations where death is inevitable. I received this ARC for an honest review and I look forward to whatever else Colleen Oakley writes in the future no matter what the subject matter is. Thank you Colleen, for a heartwarming and poignant story that very few chose to tell.
