A battle of survival for Kai to uncover her identity and purpose. Who can be trusted?
At times the pacing was a little slower than I preferred but my desire to uncover the secrets, deception, and lies kept me going. Add in morally grey characters and a slow burn and I was excited to flip the last page.
A romantasy with a slow burn sprinkled with a dash of spice, lots of suspense, world building with plenty of twists and turns leaves you gasping as you turn the last page.

Readers, Authors, Publishers, and Book Friends I hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. If you don’t celebrate hopefully your long weekend will be filled with friends, family, and lots of fun!
I’m thankful for my health, family, amazing friends, plenty of leftovers (minus the mac-n-cheese), and plenty of books I’m reading or looking forward to reading.
To those who find the holiday season difficult, painful, stressful, or are unexpectedly alone – sending you comfort and hugs.
The next few weeks will be very challenging for some. Please be kind to yourself off and on social media.
We hosted dinner this year and while the day was not without a little drama, the food was cooked to perfection. I’m very thankful my husband insisted on using dinnerware that belonged to his parents allowing for new memories and conversations about past holidays.
Time to rest up…only a few more weeks till we gather again.
