The Barista’s Beloved is the fourth book in The River Hill series by Rebecca Norinne and Jamaila Brinkley. Once again these authors have crafted a story that reads as if it’s written by one author. This duo writes fluidly and it’s almost impossible to distinguish where one either writer begins. I have tried to figure out which author wrote specific chapters, and I was unable to decipher. Ladies, well done.
For those familiar with the River Hill series, this book focuses on Maeve Brennan and Ben Worthington, a local barista. If you’re new to the series, not a worry. This book stands on its own if you haven’t read the first three books in the series.
Maeve Brennan is looking for something different when it comes to dating and the men she meets. Up for the challenge, she’s thinking outside the box, but if she gives in to her deepest desire, she might ruin hopes of happy-ever-after.
Focused on her work in the community and balancing between family expectation and business, there’s no time to fall for the handsome barista. One night should do it to take care of that “something” she is missing. Can she prove to everyone that she’s better off alone, or is there room to open up her heart and let someone love her deeply.
Ben Worthington is in River Hill because sometimes life throws you curves. Unsure of his next move and what his true calling is, he needs to overcome his previous job. Despite it all, he’s destined for greatness. When Maeve catches his eye he will discover what he’s meant to do and how hard he will have to fight. If he can move mountains he will discover it’s all worth it. Hopefully he can figure out his heart too before he loses everything.
If you’re looking for something fun this week whip up your favorite coffee house drink, grab a comfy blanket and head out to River Hill. This adventure has hot chemistry, character arcs that are fully developed and a story that pulls you in leaving you wanting more from these must read authors.
I received this ARC from the authors for a fair and honest review. Caution, this scorchin book may lead to unexpected need to turn on the A/C.
