In Deadly Delivery by Jeanne Adams we are treated to a griping tale of what happens when a food delivery for Thanksgiving goes really, really, wrong. Poor Dierdre Shercroft is helping out her family for the holidays because they’re short staffed, her regular job is in real-estate which helps her maneuver in and out of the buildings in the city. When fate drops her into the building owned by the very man she hooked up with at a work conference she’s not sure if she should scream or knock on his door. Michael Pennington, a real estate tycoon delivered his own delicious surprise when they enjoyed a week of bliss. Finally thinking she may have found that special someone Dierdre was giddy with anticipation of connecting up after the conference. Unfortunately, Michael fed her the standard line that he’d be in touch.
That was that, or was it? Other than a brief text describing some family crisis Dierdre wasn’t sure what to believe. It’s been months and well….there’d been no communication. Radio silent! Now, she’s in his building and doesn’t exactly have a great “vibe!”
As a member of the Shercroft family she helps out her parents for their family business by delivering decadent and anticipated holiday baskets. However, this is one delivery run that she’ll be remembering for a very long time. The last thing one expects is to be staring at a crazy dude and a gun when the receiving party opens up the door. What Deirdre runs into upon delivering the very last basket is anything but ordinary. Guns, drugs, and Michael are all at the same place. After months of silence there’s some explaining that has to be done and this is not exactly how she envisioned this blessed reunion.
If you were face to face with a hot guy from your past that you thought wanted nothing to do with you, what would you do? Dierdre isn’t exactly a saint and has a bit of a checkered past herself. However, when she escaped her ex, she thought that part of her life was behind her. Now, the clock is ticking to get both her and Michael out of this pickle while discovering if there truly is anything between them. This novella screams sexy adventure and will have you wondering until the very last page….WELL??? Yes, dear readers this is a must read and must own.
Once again I need to say that Jeanne Adams is a master at novellas. Ya know those stories that deliver fabulous stories in 100 pages or less. I know you won’t be disappointed and the price can’t be beat. If you’re looking for a quick read this week with the crazies of the holiday shuffle then don’t wait….download now! I received this copy from the author for an honest review and am thrilled she sent it my way. I look forward to many more reads by Jeanne Adams!

The naughty knights of The Brethren are excited to meet you and find that they’re Captivated By You. In fact you might find you need them to tell you that just a pinch more & that’s ok. If it’s not ok then have no fear, The Perfect Date is here, or somewhere near here! All it takes is Baby Steps to find a hunky Warrior and you might wind up in The Whisky Laird’s Bed.
All of this being romanced, wined, and dined is exhausting! But there is always room for dessert! Allow yourself some Tiny Treats and be sure there is enough variety to satiate your craving. The man In your Dreams may actually be the right one for you and he won’t tell you that you’ve baked too much. Proceed with caution or you might find that it’s A Deadly Delivery getting a Jewel in Time.
Ok…now it’s your turn. Make up a sentence with the last three book titles you read. Go!

Today it’s all for my dear readers that like a bit of spice in their books! I will be adding a new post to my Blog, Spicy Latte. Spicy Latte will give a little heat to your week! Since these reviews are new and the content is Spicy I’ll explain my ratings as well as how I’ll review. I don’t want to offend either my reader or my featured (or soon to be featured) authors.
In general, for all of my reviews I keep them clean and never rate them. However, I’ll have a rating system now just for these posts so that you know just how sensual the book is. I will still review it, but again I’ll keep it clean. There will be just enough details that you’ll hopefully want to read it.
Ok- here’s the SPICE-O-METER
For full on no holds barred and go for it sensuality & situations
NSFW, NSF Public Transportation, proceed with caution – it’s pretty hot
and may offend
Just enough sizzle to make you tingle
For mature audience, 18+
I decided to add this post because everyone can use a little spice in their life every so often. A dear fan and reader of my blog can’t follow or comment due to the nature of their job and they really like erotic romance fiction. This fan and reader also diligently reads my blog and reviews. So dear “follower” this one’s for you!
Now, to select my first book….stay tuned!

First, if we were meeting at a coffee shop I’d be drinking a Latte 🙂
What would you order? If it’s cold outside, hot chocolate. Coffee gives me panic attacks so I steer clear of it. Now a good hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream…oh yeah!
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer a few questions. But first I have to ask, how many books are you writing for the Westen Series? As many as I can. Right now I have a novella I’m planning to have out in December titled…CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS, which revolves around the wedding of Gage and Bobby from CLOSE TO THE EDGE. Then I’ll be taking a break to go back to the Edgars Family novels for a novella and a big book. When those are done, I’ll be coming back to Westen, where Wes Strong gets his big story titled CLOSE TO DANGER. And I have at least one or two more planned after that, but who knows?
8 Tantalizing Tidbits
- A Must read book and why? SAVING GRACE by Julie Garwood. I’ve read it almost 30 times. It’s my feel good book. It makes me laugh, makes me cry, makes me cheer on the hero and heroine. I’ve hooked many non-romance readers on reading romance by loaning one of my two copies. 🙂
- What is one place that I should see if I visit your hometown? Wow. There is more to see and do in Columbus than most people think. It’s the state capitol and in downtown there is the Ohio Theater, a movie house built in 1928 that has been restored and is a National Historic Landmark. There’s COSI, (the Center of Science and Industry) where you can take kids and spend the whole day investigating science on every level. The Ohio State University is in the North end of Columbus and a great place to visit, especially the Horse Shoe, where the Buckeyes play ball. But if I had to give one place everyone should visit it’s the Columbus Zoo, where Jack Hannah was the director, is director emeritus and where he really helped form it into a wonderful habitat based zoo.
- One thing readers would be surprised to know about you. Some already know it, but I’m a retired L&D nurse. I’ve caught more than 200 babies without a doctor in the room and worked 25 years on the night shift.
- Hard Rock or Classical? Favorite Band? Hard Rock. I’m not a one band kind of person. If the song speaks to me, makes me move and keeps me awake…it’s on the play list!
- If you had an all expenses paid trip anywhere in the world for research, where would you go? I‘d go with Scotland. Would love to tromp around the moors and pubs, listen to the locals so much I’d come home with an accent.
- Favorite TV show and why? NCIS. Gibbs
- What are you afraid of? Driving over bridges and super high overpasses. Don’t mind riding over them with someone else driving, but me at the wheel? No thank you.
- If you could invite 5 people to dinner, who would they be? Hmmm…. Benjamin Franklin, he had so many instruments and knew how to have a good time at a party. Lauren Bacall, because I think she’d be fascinating to talk to and get all the old Hollywood dirt. Clara Barton, I’d love to talk nursing and the Civil War with her. Peyton Manning, he’s one of the smartest, most articulate football players and I’m sure he and old Ben could have a good time. Billy Graham, he’s the one preacher who makes sense to me, and I’ve often wanted to pick his brain about religion and the bible.
Thanks for letting me hang out with you, Rae!
BIO:Suzanne discovered romance novels in her aunt’s hidden stash one summer as a teenager. From that moment on she knew two things: she loved romance stories and someday she’d be writing her own. Her love for romances has only grown over the years. It took her a number of years and a secondary career as a nurse to finally start writing her own stories.
Currently there are two main series she’s actively writing in: The Westen Series, a contemporary small town series based in a fictional Ohio town where “things aren’t always what they seem”, and features Close To Home, Close To The Edge and Close To The Fire. The second series is the Romantic Suspense books KIDNAPPED, HUNTED, SEIZED and VANISHED, featuring the Edgars family as they fight for justice, even if it means stepping slightly outside the rulebook.
KIDNAPPED and HUNTED were both Golden Heart finalist, and SEIZED, book #3 in the Edgars Family Novels, was a finalist in the novella category of the OKRWA’s National Reader’s Choice Awards contest.
Suzanne’s sexy stories, whether they be her on the edge of your seat romantic suspense or the small town romantic suspense stories they’ll keep you thinking about her characters long after their Happy Ever After is achieved.
