A Last Chance Christmas (The Sons of Chance Series) by Vicki Lewis Thompson is a Harlequin Blaze book and a wonderful post-Thanksgiving treat! When Ben Radcliffe is contracted to make a saddle and deliver it to the Last Chance Ranch for a birthday present, it’s a big secret. Only a few people know the truth about why Ben is at the ranch and are determined to keep it hush-hush. No one is to know that the saddle is a gift for the 70 year old matriarch, Sarah Chance, so “all lips are sealed!”
When Molly Gallagher, Sarah’s niece and family genealogist discover’s Ben he’s playing a rendition of Silent Night on his harmonica. It sends a jolt to her insides and she immediately melts! Molly had decided to use the party to spend a little extra time at the ranch collecting genealogy information from the family. All work and no play make this an interesting encounter and suddenly a hunky distraction.
When a hot kiss ignites a sizzling connection it leaves Molly and Ben in a liquid pool of lusty goodness. It takes them both by surprise. Molly has never fallen so quickly for a man and a little voice suddenly whispers “what if?” When Ben discloses that he’s not planning to have kids will that derail what could be between them? Ben is reluctant coming from a troubled and devastating past, but perhaps it’s more out of fear?
Ben was just in it for the moment, or was he? Could he consider something beyond a potential one night fling? Hopefully Molly won’t push Ben away when she discovers just how serious he is about not having children. Never faced with this situation before she doesn’t have much time to process it. Maybe it won’t matter? They both need to be honest with their feelings and true desires. If they’re going to figure this new connection out they definitely don’t want to involve the rest of the family.
This wonderfully written story is filled with fantastic characters and is blazing hot! Nothing is more special than family and friends at the Last Chance Ranch. When you add a birthday party, the holiday season, and a blizzard, it makes a magical cocktail of sweet heat and cheer! If you are craving a great cowboy holiday story and can’t wait until December 1st, there is an immediate solution dear readers! Check out Already Home (Sons of Chance) and Cowboys & Angels (Sons of Chance Christmas e-book from 2013) they are both on sale for $1.99 on most of the e-book sites thru December 1st! I received this ARC from the author for an honest review and absolutely love it! I can’t wait for the next one!!! As I mentioned in a previous blog post I don’t rate any of my reviews on my blog. Hopefully you all had a wonderful and tasty feast filled with turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings! I’m not a fan of scrambling to get to the store when it opens so I rush my dinner mindset. Rather, I love to sit back in my house and shop on-line. Nothing is more fun than indulging in a fabulous piece of chocolate cream pie (and pumpkin too!) and shopping while in your PJ’s. No parking nightmares, no pushy or cranky people, and I can shop at more than one store at a time! Score BIG for me!
Tonight I scored an Early Black Friday deal, a new Kindle! If you are in the market for a new Kindle, Amazon (and Best Buy too!) are having a fantastic sale on e-readers. After three years I finally upgraded to a newer, slimmer model! It took a little push from my friend to purchase it, but I’m looking forward to reading without blinding anyone from my old kindle light!
What awesome sale did you find that we should be sure to check out today before it’s gone?

This year I’m lucky to spend time with my family, a few fabulous friends, and what will hopefully be a shrinking stack of my to-be-read books! It seems the past few weeks there has been an onslaught of Boxed Sets, Anthologies, and Special Collections. I try to keep up with who’s releasing what but I fear I may have missed one or two.
As I write this the night before Thanksgiving I’m excited because my house is clean and ready to make tomorrow a fun and memorable Thanksgiving Day. Since I’m a planner I’ve got everything I need and didn’t have to deal with any last minute shopping trips today. I hope you didn’t have to run out. Thanks to that planning, I’m lucky enough to be reading another fabulous book which I can’t wait to tell you about.
Along with celebrating the holiday every year we also have traditions. Some are new as we find it’s time to retire ones that didn’t work out so well. One that has stayed since my childhood that we incorporate, is we grab a cup of coffee and cozy up on the couch to watch The MACY’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Somehow I’m still always running back and forth to the kitchen but I love the craziness of that!
Since its Thanksgiving I want to give thanks to my readers and followers both on my blog and twitter. I also want to thank the authors that I’ve read, reviewed and will look forward to reading and reviewing. Without you, there is no blog. I have big things planned and look forward to a fun kick-off tomorrow. So, if you are visiting me I hope that you have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Please let me know your family favorites and any fun traditions you have. It’s always fun to see how everyone celebrates and perhaps get a new idea too!
One last thing, as you sit down after your tasty feast tonight considering downloading a few e-books or purchasing a paperback or two! Show your favorite authors how much you appreciate and are thankful for them by supporting their work!
Happy Planning! Happy Eating! Happy Reading!

Searching For You by Jennifer Probst (a novella in the collection Baby, It’s Cold Outside) is a spicy, smokin’ hot story of two people who are both searching for that perfect match. Riley Fox, a CEO of a Publishing Company has turned to an on-line matchmaking service to find her future husband. Feeling the pressure of her own biological clock she’s pushing to find that special someone. When her supposed perfect match comes up in the computer she’s sent on a blind date at an outdoor ice-rink. Signals get crossed, a blizzard rages on and yet Riley is still determined to go and meet this “someone.”
When a car accident brings her into the lap of her former college roommate Ryan Dylan McCray and coincidently her blind date, everything changes. Will she be able to see who he really is, that he’s interested in the same things too? Will she admit that she desires him and has since that kiss back in college? What will he have to do to convince her? Will it be enough? How will she react when she finds out he remembers that kiss in more ways that one?
So set in her “list” of requirements for a husband, Riley is convinced that her future husband will conform to a pre-determined checklist and meet all her requirements. There is one box that she’s put very little weight into, the “intimacy” box. Riley’s convinced that connecting and having a mind-altering “connection” isn’t necessary. Will she let go of this list and open up to the possibility of life beyond a check-list?
It’s taken a blizzard and her showing up at his door to realize that the only woman for Dylan is Riley. A matchmaking service says they’re a perfect match but will they be able to overcome their past and discover that for themselves? There may be a storm raging outside but the heat is fired-up inside. This book is smokin’ hot and will definitely heat things up in the kitchen! Put that casserole in the oven, grab your book and sit back! By the time your Thanksgiving casserole is ready you will have finished this super tasty novella. Quickly get that other dish in the oven to discover the rest of the books in this collection for this holiday weekend. Don’t forget to set the timer, while Thanksgiving is tomorrow you don’t want to burn your food! I received this ARC free for an honest review and I’m so happy I did! Jennifer Probst is a fantastic author and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future! Check out her links below!

First, if we were meeting at a coffee shop I’d be drinking a Latte 🙂 What would you order? I’d order a cafe mocha please. I do adore my chocolate!
I have read your Marriage to a Billionaire series and thought it was great. I know you have a spinoff and I look forward to reading that too! Congrats on your newest novella, Searching for You in the Baby, It’s Cold Outside Collection! Thanks again for stopping by and taking the time to chat!
8 Tantalizing Tidbits
1. A MUST read book and why? The art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
It’s my all time favorite book. I’m a HUGE animal lover and this is written in the
POV of a dog named Enzo. It’s a book I always think about,
absolutely extraordinary.
2. What is one place that I should see if I visit your hometown? Hmm, we’re close to Manhattan here but I’d show you the gorgeous Mohonk Mountain House, with acres of gorgeous land, mountains, and a lake that will take your breath away. We’ll do some hiking, boating, and then feast on a gourmet lunch at the inn!
3. Castles or Beaches? Beaches always.
4. Hard Rock or Classical? Favorite Band? Hard Rock. But I love all genres of music
like books. My fave band is Matchbox 20 and Maroon 5.
5. If you had an all expenses paid trip anywhere in the world for research, where would
you go? Always one place I’d visit over and over. Italy.
6. What are you afraid of? Big fat hairy spiders. Oh, God, just thinking about them
makes me cringe.
7. Tats or no Tats? If tats, how many and why did you choose the first one? Yes! I got
one for my thirtieth birthday to celebrate!
8. What’s your favorite TV show and why? The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Don’t judge me. It’s trashy, dramatic, romantic, and exciting. And the men are hot.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
