DudeFood: A Guyâs Guide to Kick-Ass Food by Dan Churchill is a must-have for any novice in the kitchen, or anyone just simply interested in cooking some seriously delicious meals!
Danâs philiosophy is pretty simple â use clean and healthy ingredients that taste great, are easy to prepare and fuel our bodies with all-natural ingredients! All of the recipes in DudeFood require minimal equipment in the kitchen, which is fantastic news for those just entering the world of pots, pans, blenders and stoves.
Right away, the set-up is simple. Dan explains what items are a âmust haveâ in our pantry to make cooking easier. In fact, the list is short and to the point. The idea with Dude Food is to draw in the novice chef or the âDudeâ who wants to impress without having to pay for culinary school. This will certainly do it!
What I like the most about this cookbook is that each section is broken down with manageable food dishes that will inspire, no matter what your experience level is. All of the recipes are easy to follow, with clear instructions and pictures that are easy on the eye. Sorry guys but I admit I donât mind you using this in the kitchen with those fabulous pictures of Dan sprinkled throughout the recipes!
This up and coming young chef was on Masterchef Australia and has barely begun to make his mark. Thatâs great news for all of us. It means we have many more years of Danâs charming presence in the kitchen, and lots of videos, and not-yet-discovered recipes to tantalize and seduce us in the kitchen.
Take it from me dear readers- this cookbook is a must have for your guy (or for you!) Guys, your significant other will appreciate you and will be impressed if you make anything from this collection! Gals, this is a great buy as a gift for Fatherâs Day, Mother’s Day or any day for anyone you want to make a tasty meal.
Be sure to check out Danâs website www.danielchurchill.com.au for recipes, videos and other helpful information.
Here is a quick link for âDudeFoodâ dessert: Paleo Vegan IceCream. Iâve made this and itâs absolutely amazing.
I received an ARC from Simon & Schuster for a fair and honest review. It’s a great price and I would buy this for myself or gift it to a friend. Everyone should have this cookbook in their kitchen!
Thank you to Simon & Schuster who donated two copies of Danâs DudeFood books, on his behalf (thank you Dan!), the link to the paleo ice cream, as well as providing the picture of Danâs Book cover, the picture from inside the book and his bio pic. Thank you!
