30 Days by Christine d’Abo is a story about finding out what happens when you lose the love of your life and finally recognize it might be time to find someone new. As difficult as it is to lose the one man you envisioned being with forever, life isn’t easy and sometimes things don’t happen according to a set plan. For Alyssa Barrow that’s what she has to accept and come to terms with, losing her husband and wondering…is it ok to love again?
When Alyssa meets her new neighbor Harrison Kemp, she wonders if it’s time to think about other men. Sure, she loved her husband and they were great together, but he wanted her to move on after he was gone. In fact, he knew Alyssa would need a little bit of encouragement and perhaps a slight push to get back in the saddle so to speak. So, he left for her a package to be opened when she felt the time was right.
If Alyssa is able to unlock her inner desires while figuring out what she truly needs, she will have no difficulty moving on. Afterall, communication is paramount in a loving relationship and she will need to trust herself to fully express her desires.
I received this ARC from the Author for a fair and honest review. I enjoyed the fast-paced story with characters that were well developed. I give this book a three pepper review as you should proceed with caution – it’s pretty hot and may offend. For mature readers 18+

J
National Bestselling Author J.D. Tyler is best known for her dark, sexy paranormal series Alpha Pack, and the popular Firefighters of Station Five and Sugarland Blue series under her pseudonym Jo Davis. PRIMAL LAW, the first book in her Alpha Pack series, is the winner of the National Reader’s Choice Award in Paranormal. She’s also been a multiple finalist in the Colorado Romance Writers Award of Excellence, a finalist for the Bookseller’s Best Award, has captured the HOLT Medallion Award of Merit, and has been a two-time nominee for the Australian Romance Readers Award in romantic suspense.
J.D.’s books regularly appear on the Barnes and Noble, Neilson Bookscan, BooksOnBoard, and Amazon bestseller lists, among others, and she was named by BooksOnBoard as their #1 Bestselling Romance Author.
When she isn’t writing, J.D.’s idea of a good time certainly isn’t cleaning house (sniff), bungee jumping (not in this lifetime, or the next), or camping (her idea of “roughing it” is a slow bellboy). She enjoys reading, being pampered like the diva she is, and spending time with her awesome family. J.D. lives in Texas with her two kids, a spoiled Boston terrier, and two cats.
Although Jeanne Adams likes calling North Carolina home, she lives in DC, where The Tentacle Affaire is set, and often jogs on the C&O towpath with her dogs. Her favorite holiday is Halloween. She starts planning the annual yard decor on November 1. Alas, in this case however, the “Adams Family” – one husband, two sons and three dogs – is all bark and no bite.
On another spooky note, Jeanne used to work in the funeral and cemetery business, and knows a thing or two about getting rid of the body….bwhahahah! (She even teaches classes about it to other writers!)
Jeanne has written suspense novels for Kensington/Zebra Publishing since 2007. THE TENTACLE AFFAIRE, her first urban fantasy/romance, was released in Nov, 2014, along with two new Romantic Suspense Novellas, DEADLY DELIVERY and BEHIND ENEMY LINES. A short story, featured in TINY TREATS #2, St. Patrick’s Day, heralds a new series which will start next year.

Nancy Northcott’s childhood ambition was to grow up and become Wonder Woman. Around fourth grade, she realized it was too late to acquire Amazon genes, but she still loved comic books, science fiction, fantasy and YA romance. A sucker for fast action and wrenching emotion, Nancy combines the romance and high stakes she loves in the books she writes.
Her debut novel, Renegade, received a starred review from Library Journal. The reviewer called it “genre writing at its best.” Nancy is a three-time RWA Golden Heart finalist and has won the Maggie, the Molly, the Emerald City Opener, and Put Your Heart in a Book.
Married since 1987, Nancy and her husband have one son, a bossy dog, and a house full of books.
Suzanne Ferrell discovered romance novels in her aunt’s hidden stash one summer as a teenager. From that moment on she knew two things: she loved romance stories and someday she’d be writing her own. Her love for romances has only grown over the years. It took her a number of years and a secondary career as a nurse to finally start writing her own stories.
Currently there are two main series she’s actively writing in: The Westen Series, a contemporary small town series based in a fictional Ohio town where “things aren’t always what they seem”, and features Close To Home, Close To The Edge and Close To The Fire. The second series is the Romantic Suspense books KIDNAPPED, HUNTED, SEIZED and VANISHED, featuring the Edgars family as they fight for justice, even if it means stepping slightly outside the rulebook.
KIDNAPPED and HUNTED were both Golden Heart finalist, and SEIZED, book #3 in the Edgars Family Novels, was a finalist in the novella category of the OKRWA’s National Reader’s Choice Awards contest.
Suzanne’s sexy stories, whether they be her on the edge of your seat romantic suspense or the small town romantic suspense stories they’ll keep you thinking about her characters long after their Happy Ever After is achieved.

Jul 1, 2015 | Barbara Devlin, Blog, July 2015
Arucard (Brethrens Origins Book 1) by Barbara Devlin delivers a breathtakingly sensual introduction into the Brethren that captivates and entices the heart. This raw, emotionally charged story will challenge you to the depths of your heart. From the moment they meet, Isolde de Tyreswell and Templar Knight Arucard must decide if they can share what they hold near and dear to their hearts. Can these two strangers who are pushed together find comfort in dark times?
Left with uncertainty as to the fate of his Templar brotherhood, Arucard is now a wanted man in France and sets sail for safety in England. Unfortunately, his flight for freedom is filled with obstacles and new challenges. If he is to survive he must agree to leave his past behind, in all ways.
From her family’s point of view, Isolde exists solely to satisfy her father’s sick and twisted political plan, which he expresses it with extreme torture. Looking to achieve greatness, he marries her off to a man that can advance the family.
Arucard thought he’d live a chaste life as a Templar Knight, so when he finds himself ordered to marry, to whom can he turn for advice? Friendships will deepen and loyalty will be tested. This sensually-charged historical romance is bewitching. There is a battle of the heart raging on both sides and families will be splintered.
For those who have been loyal followers and readers of Barbara’s Knights of the Brethren of the Coast series, this book is a must read. While we have been treated to a sprinkle in each of the Brethren books, we now have devoted founding members of the Brethren Fellowship, this gives us a whole saga in one big, delicious gulp. I admit I did a happy dance…and yes, you will too!
While this book can be read as a stand-alone it will enhance the Brethren experience transporting you to the 1300’s. Discover how the Knights of the Brethren of the Coast came to be in this 215 page, two-pepper tale. There is just enough sizzle to make you tingle and is most definitely for those 18+.
I received this ARC from the author for a fair and honest review. I hope that you settle into a comfortable chair, as you will find yourself seated there until you are finished. If you dream of knights, castles and sizzle, please drop Barbara a note or tweet to let her know. Well done Barbara!
Author Info:
Bestselling author Barbara Devlin was born a storyteller. A Texan, through and through, Barbara hasn’t been without a book in her possession since she was in kindergarten. She wrote her first short story, a really cheesy murder-mystery, in high school, but it was a Christmas gift, a lovely little diary with a bronze lock, given to her in the fifth grade that truly inspired her love of writing.
After completing part of her undergraduate studies at the University of London, where she developed a love of all things British, Barbara returned home and began a career in banking. But the late 80s weren’t too promising for the financial industry, and every bank that hired Barbara soon folded. So she searched for a stable occupation, and the local police department offered the answer to her prayers.
Initially, Barbara wasn’t too sure about her new career in law enforcement, but she soon came to love being a police officer. And then one uncharacteristically cold and icy day in December 1998, Barbara was struck by a car and pinned against a guardrail while working an accident on a major highway. Permanently disabled, she retired from the police department and devoted her time and energy to physical therapy.
Once Barbara got back on her feet, she focused on a new career in academia. She earned an MA in English and continued a course of study for a Doctorate in Literature and Rhetoric. She happily considered herself an exceedingly eccentric English professor, until success in Indie publishing lured her into writing, full-time, featuring her fictional knighthood, the Brethren of the Coast.
