“Okay,” she conceded, raising her chin. “We’ll talk.” Those golden eyes took her in, assessed her. Slowly, he nodded. Then he stood up, buttoning the single button of his coat as if getting ready to leave.
Frustrated, she said, “But I thought we were going to talk.”
His eyes narrowed with a smirk as he walked around the table toward her. He tipped up her chin with a hot fingertip and searched her eyes. “You really think I’m going to trust your word, Princesa?” She could feel the warm puffs of his words against her lips. “Send the amended contract to my attorney. Tomorrow we’ll talk.” He nodded. “And since I’m feeling generous and you’ve already used up one night of your three, we’ll also do…whatever else you want to do. After we talk.”
His quick kiss was a surprise, barely a brush of skin and wine-spiced breath. Still it made her lips tingle.
Still it made her gasp a quick intake of breath. He heard her and rewarded her with his first real smile as he straightened.
His smile was glorious, a slow reveal of blinding white teeth and a dimple in his right cheek and laugh lines that pointed to eyes that seemed to glow just for her. His smile made her not care that he was laughing at her, that he’d palmed some of the power for himself and that he was gloating. His smile was beautiful, transforming her sullen, angry prince into a man who obviously felt joy enough to get laugh lines, a man who probably spent a lot of time smiling when she wasn’t around.
He turned his back on her and Roxanne watched his broad, tall silhouette leave, hands in his pockets, head probably already back in his greenhouse.
His smile—and the man himself, Roxanne was starting to realize—was very, very, very dangerous.

Angelina M. Lopez wrote “arthur” when her kindergarten teacher asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. In the years since she learned to spell the word correctly, she’s been a journalist for an acclaimed city newspaper, a freelance magazine writer, and a content marketer for small businesses. At long last, she found her way back to “author.”
Angelina writes sexy, contemporary stories about strong women and the confident men lucky enough to fall in love with them. The fact that her parents own a vineyard in California’s Russian River Valley might imply a certain hedonism about her; it’s not true. She’s a wife and a mom who lives in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She makes to-do lists with perfectly drawn check boxes. She checks them with glee.
Her first book, Lush Money, is available now from Carina Press. Her second book, Hate Crush, will be available June 2020. You can find more about her at her website, AngelinaMLopez.com and at @AngelinaMLo on Instagram and Twitter.

Lush Money (Filthy Rich Book 1) by Angelina Lopez is a must read debut novel. From the moment I saw the cover and read the summary, I knew I had to read this story. Don’t wait, this is a book people will be talking about and you’ll want to share in the conversation ;).
Each page has purpose in moving the characters along and their arcs written so seamlessly that they slowly mature and then explode the way we anticipate, with a few surprises, from the intricate details woven in each chapter. The opening sentence hooked me in and the story didn’t release it’s grasp on me until the very last word. Monte del Vino Real and the stateside settings are picture-postcard exciting. This book is a world in vivid color with descriptions so rich and detailed that I feel I’m standing in the vineyard, with my shoes off. I can feel the dirt beneath my feet and on my hands, the heat from the sun beating down upon my shoulders. I can smell the fragrance of the vines as I inhale the fresh, crisp air.
Roxanne Medina is confident, bold, and not afraid to take what she wants. It doesn’t matter what she has to give up in order to acquire a deal with the Golden Prince, Mateo Ferdinand Juan Carlos de Esperanzo y Santos. From the start he’s skeptical and not interested in her proposal. Three days a month for a woman he doesn’t know is three days too many. Despite negotiating for better terms, the minor details are necessary to ensure her fairy tale ending. Will he agree? When Mateo discovers that his country needs this arrangement, will he continue on with the plan and charade, or do his best to terminate the negotiations even if it means losing what he holds most dear?
Mateo has spent years working to improve his reputation and build a business that will strengthen his status and set him apart from his father. A lifetime of dreams will come close to being crushed when Roxanne insists he’s the prince she needs for her storybook ending. Determined to be better than his reputation, he’s willing to risk everything to set things right.
As you settle into the book, there is an ease with how Angelina writes, it’s smooth and fluid. The transition and balance of language and culture from Spanish to English, and back, rolled effortlessly. What makes this story so exciting and enjoyable is that for readers who don’t speak Spanish, the narrative from hero to country and everything in-between is nonintoxicating and exciting.
Readers, this multicultural romance stands out and sparkles. If you’re looking for a book adventure with a strong heroine billionaire, a wild Prince, a setting that’s magical, and lots of family secrets to keep our characters on their toes – this a refreshing and welcome change! Let’s not forget a handful of seriously steamy scenes that will smoke your e-reader. Folks – Angelina makes walking down an alley sexy and exciting!
This inferno read will cause you to turn on the A/C, the fan, and take a cold shower.
I received an ARC from the author for a fair and honest review. I can’t wait for the second installment. Be sure to check back tomorrow for an excerpt!
