Witty in Pink by Erica George is a sweet slow burn Young Adult Historical Romcom. When a summer bargain between two childhood rivals is linked through a love of bees it’s bound to be a wild summer. .
Blythe is determined to get her honeybee business up and running in a world where women must rely on men for survival. When she must ask for help from the one person she rather not, it makes for a sticky situation.
Biggs must find a way to secure funds to protect his family from the damage his father caused. Will his plan be enough to save them all from ruin? If only he could tell Blythe the real reason he’s so determined to fix the trail of destruction.
Assumptions, secrets, and a proposal make this a fun story of salvation. I enjoyed the plot and characters and look forward to reading more from Erica George.
This was a Sweet Romance – The romance is behind closed doors while still retaining that sweet wholesomeness that might leave readers with a pink blush on their cheeks. In this type of book characters may express their feelings by declaring they are in love, flirt, embrace, hold hands, or even kiss.
