Wicked Envy (Wicked Horse Vegas, Book #3) by Sawyer Bennett explores what happens when best friends experience one night at The Wicked Horse, together.
One single night will test the sacred and eternal bond of friendship for Avril Carrigan, Dane Hawthorne and Andrew Collings. If you thought the The Wicked Horse Series was intense, Vegas is hotter.
There are so many elements of this story that make this such a must read series. In each book the characters must confront their fears and family expectations. Somehow, it all starts at The Wicked Horse, and then extends into the lives of our heroes and heroines. The pace is perfect and keeps you planted in your chair or wherever you find yourself reading.
Avril, Andrew, and Dane are business partners and friends. They count on each other for anything. One night of curiosity will push them into uncharted waters and ignite a unique craving in the least likely of the three friends. Who will discover love? Who will discover their hard limits? Who will escape without being broken?
Sawyer’s careful attention to the emotional stability within the friendship is what I love the most. Sure, the Wicked Horse is a place for characters to fulfill their sexual fantasies or enhance their relationships, and those scenes will singe your e-reader. It’s a safe space, and that’s what’s so empowering for those who visits The Wicked Horse. Without the club, it’s likely that they would not discover just how far they are wiling to push themselves when it comes to pleasure and commitment. The journey has many layers and it’s oh so good.
Dane, Avril, and Andrew will need to choose if they can accept what has happened, forgive the past and move forward knowing more about each other than most business partners. Many books have tackled the friends to lovers trope and I think Sawyer has done it brilliantly. Can it be done without any roadblocks or destruction? What if it doesn’t work out or the intimacy is just awful? It’s time to one-click and find out.
While this book can be read as a standalone, I preferred to read it after consuming Wicked Fever and Wicked Wish. This spicy latte read is four peppers hot for full on, no holds barred sensuality and situations. It’s for mature readers 18+.
I received this ARC from the author for a fair and honest review.
Author Info:
Since the release of her debut contemporary romance novel, Off Sides, in January 2013, Sawyer Bennett has released multiple books, many of which have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.
A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.
Sawyer likes her Bloody Marys strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active daughter, as well as full-time servant to her adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or even better, both.
Sawyer also writes general and women’s fiction under the pen name S. Bennett and sweet romance under the name Juliette Poe.
