%name Book Review & Interview: Sleeping with the Boss by Marissa ClarkeSleeping With the Boss (Anderson Brothers Book 1) by Marissa Clarke is sexy, funny and chock full of twists and turns until the very last word! This fast paced, flawless story has it all – sizzle, heat and loveable characters. Claire Maddox has been a caregiver for her ailing grandparents for many years and upon the death of her grandmother she receives a very large inheritance. Finally she can fulfill a childhood dream and travel to Egypt for an internship and begin the adventure of a lifetime. With two weeks until departure she asks her friend to get her a job through her temp agency to pass the time until her money comes in and her passport arrives. The job she lands is at Anderson Auctions.

For Claire she’s a bit klutzy and is known to have a blunder or two but when it happens on her way into her temporary assignment that’s when everything changes. As luck would have it she has an encounter with a handsome stranger in the elevator during the ride up to her job. Unbeknownst to Claire this gorgeous and sexy man is they mysterious Anderson brother who also happens to be one of her new bosses. A bit gob smacked, she bolts off the elevator as the heat starts to sizzle.

Upon his return from his tour in Afghanistan, Marine William Anderson’s new tour of duty is to help fish out and find the spy working in their companybefore they lose any more clients or artifacts . Lucky for Will he doesn’t mind keeping a close eye on Claire, the new hire, while he uncovers her past. What he didn’t count on was where their relationship would wind up as they both develop an interest in each other. The brothers fear this love connection may not be what it seems and push to expose her at all costs.

Unfortunately the brothers uncover a mysteriously large deposit in Claire’s bank account and alarm bells start ringing. The story ignites as Will is torn between his attraction and desire for Claire as their past starts to unfold. Can he finally find someone who will accept him and the life he has always wanted? At the heart of it all he needs honesty and trust because he’s been burned before.  Can he allow himself to give in to his desires for Claire?  How far will Claire go to protect those she loves without compromising her goals?

As they work towards accepting each other and the obstacles from their past they soon wind up at their own crossroads. When Claire makes the ultimate sacrifice will she be able to get her fairytale ending? Sit back and relax, this is one that you’ll want to read! I loved reading this story and can’t wait to read about the other Anderson Brothers, the second book can’t come soon enough!

Interview With Marissa Clarke:

1. Castles or Beaches?

Beaches! All four of my published novels feature beaches, including Sleeping with the Boss.

2. Hard Rock or Classical Music?

Both. I usually listen to indie. My favorite editing music (I don’t listen to music while actually writing) is moody, angsty stuff like Damien Rice,
Fisher, and The Muse. I’m also a fan of 30 Seconds to Mars.

3.  One thing that readers would be surprised to know about you?

I have “pet” Madagascar Cockroaches. Not on purpose. They are the result of a surprise incident in a middle school science classroom. Long story
short, my son was responsible for a male getting in the female terrarium, and the teacher said since he was responsible, the burden of care for the
resulting babies was mine. Being a softy, I took them in. …and still have them, many years and roachy generations later.

4. When you are traveling do you prefer to road trip it or fly it?

It really depends on the destination, but I generally prefer a road trip if someone else drives so I can read or stare out the window. If I have to drive,
I prefer to fly and get there fast.

5. If you had an all expenses paid trip anywhere in the world for research, where would you go?

Paris or Moscow. *sigh* In reality, my next research destination is The Great Dismal Swamp on the Virginia, North Carolina borders. I’m working
on a young adult novel set there.

Thanks for the fun questions and for being a part of the Boss Tour!
